工业废水治理是指在工业生产过程中，用过的水经过适当处理回用于生产或妥善地排放出厂，包括生产用水的管理和为便于治理废水而采取的措施。工业废水的量和质随产品和生产工艺而定，变化很大，不宜采用典型数据，应实地考察。工业上使用大量的冷却用水，大多不同物料接触，用过的水水质一般变化很小，只是水温有所变化。相反，生产过程中使用的液体和洗涤废水(除造纸、纺织、印染等行业的废水外)，一般水量不大，但水质却极其复杂，浓度一般也高。小编在此介绍下工业废水治理的处置方式。
工厂里生产上用过的水有三种处置方式：
①不经过处理或只经必要的处理后再次使用。有时会用于本工艺过程，有时供其他工艺过程使用，构成循序用水系统。
②在厂内作必要的预处理，满足城市对水质的要求后排入城市污水管道或合流管道。
③在厂内处理，使水质达到排放水体或接入城市雨水管道或灌溉农田的要求后直接排放。
